I have always been passionate about designing and building. My dad, a carpenter, inspired me to create furniture pieces for my home.
Dog Crate Table
This was a personal piece that I made for my home. Last year I was living in a small one-bedroom apartment when my fiance and I adopted a puppy. We were unsure where we would find space for our dog's crate and all of the supplies that we would need for her. That's when I got to work on designing and building this combination dog crate and front hall table.
When designing this table I considered the space in our hallway and this table’s purpose. I included shelves to store dog supplies and a safe place for her to sleep at night. The crate can easily slide out from the left side of the table if we need to travel with our dog.
Standing Desk
After working from home for a few months we became tired of working at the kitchen table. In the spirit of making combination pieces of furniture, I created another space-saving solution. This time it was a bookshelf that doubles as a standing desk.
In order to save as much space as possible, I designed the desk to fold up when it is not being used. When the desk is folded up, the inside becomes a cubby area where we can store our work supplies.
